QCT Emergency Support

To contact QCT in an emergency, please:

  • Freecall , 24 hours, 7 days
  • Email , giving full details.  This address is always monitored during business hours
  • Fill in the Support Request form - this is also monitored during business hours
  • If outside business hours, the Freecall number will give a mobile number for an on-call technician

Before contacting QCT

  • Please attempt to shut down and restart the computer
  • If the computer is not responding, try pressing Ctrl-Alt-Del, and click Shut Down
  • If all else fails, turn the power off
  • If the power doesn't go off, hold the power button in for at least 5 seconds
  • If the problem is with a printer or other peripheral, make sure to turn it off as well
  • Try to reproduce the fault
  • Note the exact wording of any error messages (you may copy the message by highlighting it and pressing Ctrl-C, then paste it into our Support Request form by pressing Ctrl-V)
  • If you have an email problem, try visiting some web pages to test your Internet connection
  • If you have a network problem, make sure that all the computers are logged on (do not click Cancel when asked to 'log on to Windows') and that your password is correct
  • Don't panic!  Help isn't far away...
